I've heard that SH is like a next generation Pivotal Labs. What's different?

At Pivotal, we built systems for and with clients, and we do that at Silicon Hemisphere as well. The difference at Silicon Hemisphere is that we also specialize in cloud operations and multiteam enterprise engagements.

How do your managed services differ from what the big cloud providers already offer?

The primary difference is that we’re operating and developing software at the same time, often paired with our clients’ developers, who are learning the latest techniques and technologies from us. The major cloud providers offer many automated services to optimize your cloud usage, and we’ll plug into those capabilities too.

Are you still agile?

Definitely. We still test-drive all our code, we pair-program, and we refactor constantly. Our Run team applies agile techniques just like our Build team, but also benefits from the years we spent building and operating cloud infrastructure at Pivotal, with all the attendant lessons learned in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering.

How can you help all these different clients at different stages with unique needs?

Our Silicon Hemisphere Teams have tailored expertise in the projects, challenges, and skills associated with your business & product at every product stage. We are equipped to partner with teams around the world with our fully-remote delivery model.

Can you help with technical leadership and guidance?

The Silicon Hemisphere development team are not only senior full-stack engineers but also stellar consultants that break down technical concepts, plan scalable architecture, and bubble up recommendations and/or concerns proactively. For a business that has a technical aspect that requires management and growth, having a point person to lead the charge is required. However, hiring your first technical hire can be challenging especially without the expertise in-house. A Silicon Hemisphere fractional CTO can help you find the right first technical hires, onboard them successfully, and establish code quality and development process standards while moving your product forward in parallel.

How do you help startups?

Silicon Hemisphere steps in when you need to align business and product decisions across the full team, and ensures a strong product and process foundation for moving quickly and strategically. Tap into the expertise you need now and take your time filling the critical full-hire spots.

How do you help established companies?

Leverage the Silicon Hemisphere approach for successful remote teams, and improve your product, design, and development processes, quality standards, and overall delivery. Maximize the investment you are making into your product and feel confident in your timeline and software standards.

Can you help me launch a product?

Yes! Building a new product requires deep expertise in new product development which may include navigating new challenges like API integrations, mobile technologies, and accessibility design standards. New product development also requires upskilling your current team which is hard to do without disrupting their essential work for your business. The team at Silicon Hemisphere can help you achieve all of this and has helped dozens of companies achieve successfull product launches. We provide the expertise necessary to launch the product that you need, and collaborate with your team to help them master it.
